Mrs. Iowa United States, Lorainna Nedved was raised in small town Exira, Iowa population 840. While at Iowa State University, she met her husband of 8 years Matt, and they currently reside in Dubuque, along with 2-year-old daughter Gwendalyn and several beloved pets.
Lorainna is Director of Ticket Sales for the Dubuque Fighting Saints, a USHL hockey team. Lorainna also enjoys mentoring tomorrow’s youth through dance education and direction. She believes dance can help teach discipline, endurance, team work and most importantly self-confidence. She believes in not just teaching technique, but teaching positive life lessons and striving to let today''s young people know that if you work hard and think positively you can achieve anything.
An advocate for breast cancer education and early detection, Lorainna volunteers to Bras for the Cause, a not-for-profit providing project grants and ensuring that all Iowans have access to mammograms and cervical screenings.
