During her reigning year, Shannon made appearances in nearly 100 cities nationwide, appeared on several national talk shows and graced the pages of four national magazines. In the summer of 1992 she was awarded the Humanitarian and International Relations Award from India while on a good will tour. Shannon was spokesperson for the NFL Super Bowl coin, Natural Balance Shampoo, the Bosley Medical Clinics and Trim easy, who also named a skin care line after Shannon, called Shannon''s Secret. Her image has been used in 4 million catalogs and advertisements.
