Dana responded with a Red White and Blue appearance gown to show where she stood on pride and potential threats.

She worked with the Boys and Girls clubs for our future.

Dana did something that no national titleholder in pageantry was able to do. She communicated freely with the incoming 2002 delegates.

Each 2002 state and territory delegate received a personal congratulation from her and that proved to be the start of many correspondences.

Her individual emails of support proved that the personal touch could make a very big difference in the organization.

Dana and her delegates also called each other as she was a source of inspiration and encouragement. She was in constant contact and always willing to help.

Her personal force, presence, and personality were ingrained in the 2002 pageant as well as the delegates who attended. The delegates were not surprised when Dana would repeatedly step between them and harm''s way so that they would not feel alone or unappreciated.

Many delegates said "Dana Will Always Be My Mrs. United States!".
